BIGGBY® COFFEE has been having an incredible year. The company secured 75 new franchise agreements in 2023, which meant that the number of open cafés increased to 365, with another 155 under contract or in development. The brand is well on its way to reaching its goal of 500 open locations by 2024 and having 1,000 stores operating by 2028.
“BIGGBY COFFEE stands apart from the competition because of our culture, people, systems and processes, and products and innovation,” said Director of Marketing Jaime Balazy. “We literally have a system for everything, and if we don’t, we build one!”
Because BIGGBY COFFEE is 100% franchised, the needs of its franchisees are the top priority of the corporate team. Keys to the company’s success include keeping the initial investment low, having a strong focus on profitability and ease of operations. Multigenerational menu offerings that are innovative and customizable help to create a brand that is sophisticated but not intimidating.
The brand is looking to expand in markets across the country. “Our emerging markets are Boise, Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, Winston Salem, Raleigh, Chicago and Virginia Beach,” shared Balazy. “In addition to these territories, BIGGBY COFFEE also has an area representatives (AR) model. The AR territories are within the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Florida and Kentucky.”
For the holiday season, BIGGBY COFFEE will be offering its customer-favorite Peppermint Stick Mocha, Snow Mint Mocha and Cookie Butter drinks. A new flavor combination of cranberry, orange and winter spices also will be offered. This new flavor will be in three beverages: the Crimson BIGGBY Blast, the Citrus Snow Latte and the Spiced Cran-Orange Tea.
Two food items also will be added to the menu. The fan-favorite chocolate and cream cheese Tuxedo muffin will return, and the new French Onion Turkey Ciabatta sandwich will be making its debut. This sandwich consists of turkey, creamy Havarti cheese and an incredible balsamic onion jam on toasted ciabatta bread. These items are the perfect way to warm up during the cold and snowy season.
