COMMUNITY FOCUSED + ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Balloon Kings® is proud to provide its customers with high-quality products and royalty treatment. Taking balloon décor and designs to the next level, the company offers everything from bouquets and centerpieces to balloon structures customized to meet the needs and preferences of all customers. With over 10 years in the balloon industry, Balloon Kings provides franchisees with the operational model, resources, tools and support needed to help them establish and grow a successful business.
One the brand’s missions is to keep its products and operations environmentally friendly by offering an extensive selection of 100% natural, biodegradable latex colors in addition to offering the largest selection of non-allergenic and recyclable mylar foil balloons.
“Latex comes from the rubber tree, which is harvested similarly to maple from a maple tree,” explained Founder Gene Nifenecker II. “Real latex has natural pores, which makes it biodegradable.”
By working solely with manufacturers and suppliers that are committed to adhering to environmental guidelines, Balloon Kings sets itself apart from competitors.
“There are a lot of manufacturers that are overseas that do not adhere to all requirements,” said Nifenecker. “Balloons from the Far East smell like petroleum, the balloons from Western Europe smell like moth balls and in other areas balloons smell like bad dirt.”
Utilizing the right materials has a significant impact not only on the environment but also on customer experiences.
Educating consumers is also an important aspect of the service Balloon Kings offers. Team members provide customers with detailed information on how to properly handle and dispose of products after use.
“We are working on how to be the correct balloon parent,” said Nifenecker. “When you are done with balloons, don’t let them go. Make sure that when you pop them, you put the latex balloons and the curling ribbon into the normal garbage, and the micro-foil can go into the recycling bin.”
All Balloon Kings franchisees follow the operational manual, which includes details on the type of materials and products used as well as the information that should be provided to all customers. This not only optimizes the life of an arrangement but also ensures minimal environmental impact following disposal.
As the topic of environmental responsibility continues to evolve, searching for and introducing eco-friendly alternative products has become an important issue in the balloon décor industry. With an increase in demand for biodegradable products, Balloon Kings follows key principles of sustainable offerings, including use of recycled materials and biodegradable inflatables made from rice paper or plant-based plastics, which break down faster and lessen the environmental impact.
Balloon Kings also embraces innovative recycling programs and sustainable décor options with a focus on reducing waste and conserving the planet for future generations. Reusable décor components, such as bases and structures, are offered to customers looking to reduce their environmental footprint.
With its highly trained and talented team, Balloon Kings is capable of creating stunning and memorable pieces for events using a wide range of reusable décor elements.
