As the chief financial officer of Assisting Hands® Home Care, Tyler Moss uses facts to analyze success. With this information, he’s able to chart the company’s future prosperity clearly.
“Our numbers are based on population count. Right now, 78 million baby boomers are turning the age where they’re starting to need some form of care. That number’s only growing from here. By 2050, there will probably be 90 million-ish seniors who will need care. We are recession-resistant because it’s based on people,” Moss explained.
COVID-19 has proven that the business is also pandemic-resilient. Upon developing and executing new ideas and programs, Assisting Hands’ revenue grew 20% through 2020. “I like to highlight that since I’m a numbers guy,” Moss said. “But in the end, while revenues are fantastic, we just want to help those in need.”
Assisting Hands’ family-oriented culture supports the brand’s mission to make a difference in people’s lives. “We call each other by name; no one is just a number. When franchise owners come to Discovery Day, they meet with our CEO and typically go to his home and have dinner with his family so he can get to know them on a personal level,” said Moss.
The company is so committed to cultivating a warm, supportive climate that they trademarked the name FOFO, which stands for Family of Franchise Owners.
As Moss noted, the spirit of FOFO encourages growth and collaboration. “Some of the best practices that we use started from a franchisee. They’ve tried it, perfected it and then shared that with our company,” he said.
The camaraderie and closeness go beyond business. “A lot of our franchisees are so close that they take family vacations together. Their families can play together, but they can also talk about work and something they’re passionate about – something that they love.”
Since Assisting Hands supplies all of the technology and systems for success, franchisees can focus on living their passion while growing revenue and creating lifelong friendships.
