While some entrepreneurs may find the franchise selection process daunting, business partners Artem Lopatchenko and Dan Giacomazzi described it as “easy” thanks to Ace Handyman Services.

With Artem’s background in finance and corporate accounting and Dan’s experience in technology and performance analytics, the duo had access to several franchise opportunities that matched their skills, budget and goals. Of the 10 companies they interviewed in the home services industry, “Ace Handyman Services was by far the most impressive,” said Artem, co-owner of Ace Handyman Services Greater Triangle and Johnston County in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Ace Handyman Services provides home repair and handyman services throughout the U.S. This evergreen concept boasts instant name recognition due to its acquisition by Ace Hardware and offers multiple in-demand services that generate repeat sales. As a values-driven business built on integrity, Ace Handyman Services employs background-checked, multi-skilled craftsmen and never sells its jobs to subcontractors.

“Having the Ace brand name has opened quite a number of doors and has allowed us to grow quicker than we could ever on our own,” Dan said. “Additionally, a good number of our leads now come from the Ace Hardware stores.”

The company’s support team and customizable marketing plan also have helped them see results. “The best marketing dollars are eaten and drunk. The in-person networking, one-on-one meetings as well as after-hours events have been instrumental to our repeat business pipeline,” Artem shared.

As new business owners, Artem and Dan have taken the time to reflect on their business practices and make adjustments for growth. Motivated by the Ace Handyman Services annual convention, which they attended shortly after opening their business in 2022, the duo has since established long-term goals and are already seeing results.

With a commitment to hard work and an investment in a time-tested, proven system that offers ongoing support, Artem and Dan are excited about their continued success. “The Ace name and the support will open doors. However, the business will only grow to the extent of the effort put in. As owners, we are truly in charge of our destiny and future growth,” Artem concluded.
