Strength Training With a Stronger Purpose
BODY20 encourages its franchisees and program members to support their communities and local causes. The brand’s mission is to improve the overall health and wellness of clients, and that goes beyond its workout studios.
The franchise’s model focuses on changing the way people work out by delivering personalized, one-on-one strength training in 20 minutes, delivering results for members through a tech-driven workout experience.
The co-owners of BODY20 in Brookhaven, Georgia, Jason and Leslie Cohen, have been involved with various organizations, supporting causes ranging from cystic fibrosis and multiple sclerosis to childhood cancer research. They first became involved with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation more than a decade ago.
“I just thought it was an important, easy and fun cause to support,” he said.
The nonprofit organization is dedicated to raising funds for research aimed at finding cures for childhood cancer. Cohen shares its belief that all children deserve to grow up, laugh, dream and live a life full of possibility.
Cohen is a proud “shavee” and collaborates with other supporters to promote the St. Baldrick’s Foundation’s cause within their communities to help secure donations. He has worked with the organization for many years and plans to continue doing so.
“We shave our heads to show solidarity with children who don’t have a choice when it comes to losing their hair,” Cohen said.
The Cohens sponsored the Big Peach Sizzler 5K and 10K in 2025. The event supported Breathe Strong CF, an organization focused on cystic fibrosis research and helping individuals with the disease live stronger and healthier lives.
Additionally, in 2024, the Cohens joined other BODY20 franchise owners in Atlanta to sponsor the annual National Multiple Sclerosis Society Walk. The event welcomes all participants ranging from seasoned runners to beginners and casual walkers of all ages. The Cohens’ dedication to giving back also extends to supporting local school initiatives.
At BODY20, being involved with local communities and nonprofits is part of the brand culture and mission.
“We may change who we support each year, but we plan to continue to help local causes,” Cohen said.
