Turning a Second Career Into a Family Enterprise

Following a corporate career and regional management role at Enterprise-Rent-A-Car in Little Rock, Arkansas, Johnny Weber decided to pursue his passion for franchising.

“I knew I wanted to build something of my own, but I also wanted a proven playbook,” Weber said. “The first brand I became involved with was Sport Clips Haircuts. We grew that brand to 60 locations before selling it, opening the door to branching into other concepts – most notably Prime IV Hydration & Wellness.”

Prime IV Hydration & Wellness provides customized services to address individual needs and wellness goals. Weber said one of his son’s, Cole, experienced the benefits as a client, reinforcing Weber’s belief that the brand was a strong fit.

“Prime IV stands out because it’s not just about a service. It’s about caring for people,” Weber said. “The brand is built on consistency, compassion and genuine human connection.”

Weber owns and operates six locations and serves as an area developer across Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Florida. He has also brought his sons, Cole and Tanner, into the operation, turning it into a family business.

“I missed more moments than I wish I had while they were growing up,” Weber said. “Being able to build something side-by-side with them now is one of the greatest blessings of my life.”

Weber also brought his former wife, Heather, into the business.

“Some people might think bringing your ex-wife into a business partnership is a terrible idea, but Heather is a special person. She genuinely sees the good in people and has passed that trait on to our boys,” he said. “She’s absolutely thriving in her role as director of store operations for our Prime IV locations.”

Despite a few challenges, working with family has proven rewarding, Weber said.

“The biggest reward is that when you win, you win together. There’s a level of trust, love and support that can’t be manufactured,” he said.

Weber also brought his father, Eugene, into the business to serve as vice president of marketing. According to Eugene, working with the family keeps him young.

Looking ahead, Weber is excited to help other Prime IV Hydration & Wellness franchisees succeed while growing his own portfolio.

“For us, success isn’t just measured in unit count, it’s measured in strong teams, healthy cultures and communities that feel genuinely cared for,” he said.
