Freedom, Support & Room to Grow

Impressed with the model created by LIME Painting® Founder Nick Lopez, Cory Griggs decided to pursue franchising after more than 20 years in corporate sales. He traveled a lot and made decent money but wanted more flexibility as well as the opportunity to expand his earnings beyond what corporate America offered.

“Entrepreneurship is what I was looking for, and like most people, I did not have a business idea,” said Griggs. “My franchise coach showed me different models, and the flexibility to work and live within my community played a key role in my decision.”

Specializing in painting, coatings and surface restoration, LIME Painting caters to custom homes and businesses. As a full-service painting company, services range from restoration of distressed exteriors to the transformation of interior spaces.

“Committed to being resourceful and serving people, my focus has always been to ensure customer satisfaction,” said Griggs. “LIME Painting has a formula for success.”

The ability to work from home was also a key driver in Griggs’s franchising decision.

“I set my own hours and have the freedom that comes along with being my own boss. I write my own schedule and am uncapped in my earning abilities,” he said.

Additionally, LIME Painting provides proven operational, networking and sales systems to establish productive relationships, drive repeat business and achieve top referral rates from satisfied customers.

“I don’t knock on doors much anymore because my business comes primarily from referrals and repeat contractors,” said Griggs. “Two-thirds of my business is new construction and commercial. Contractors I have done business with know that I take good care of them and they in turn take care of me.”

Griggs was also quick to point out the pros of owning a home-based business and said he struggled to come up with any drawbacks.

“Having the ability to spend more time with my family and the freedom to pick jobs in my community without worrying about brick-and-mortar expenses is a major benefit,” he said. “I don’t know if there are any or many cons if you follow the franchise system. I feel fortunate to have a home-based business and look forward to growing my team.”
