As a HomeVestors® of America, Inc. franchise owner, Heidi Murri is proud of what she’s built for her four children and the life lessons she’s been able to teach them.
“It’s grown into a wonderful career and brought endless opportunities for our family,” Murri said of her HomeVestors business, which she operates in the greater Phoenix area. “The biggest thing that pulls on my heart is what it’s done for my children because they’ll step into marriages and futures with a sound financial understanding.”
HomeVestors franchisees are home buyers who buy homes “as is” so sellers can skip selling the traditional way and enjoy the time saved with quick closings. Since 1996, HomeVestors has purchased over 140,000 houses nationwide.
With a degree in social work, Murri never had real estate on her radar. But when the stay-at-home mom began exploring ways to contribute to the household income, she soon discovered that she loved flipping houses. However, she didn’t enjoy the ups and downs of conventional real estate or dealing with demanding sellers. That’s when HomeVestors caught her attention.
“After a few years, I started to get more of the houses I acquired from franchise owners with HomeVestors,” Murri explained. “I built some relationships, and occasionally, they would say, ‘Hey Heidi, I’ve got a franchise for sale!’ A few years went by, and my kids were still young, but then the time was right, so I purchased in 2019. I’ve never regretted it, not a day.”
One of the most cherished aspects of managing a HomeVestors for Murri has been the sense of community she has found among other franchise owners. She also appreciates how HomeVestors has improved her lifestyle.
“We’ve been able to do things we never would have been able to do: Help our kids pay cash for their college education so they can graduate without debt. We’ve taken fabulous vacations with our family, and we’re headed to Europe again this fall,” said Murri.
Because of her positive experiences, Murri envisions a long and happy future with HomeVestors.
“I don’t think I’ll ever walk away from it because I just love what I do so much,” she concluded.
