Since closing its first franchise in 2017, Wisdom Senior Care – a full-service, at-home senior care company – has awarded seven other franchises and has a goal of opening 10 more in 2022. The brand, which is known for its reliable, compassionate caregivers and its high-quality franchisee support and training, is deeply passionate about giving back to others.

While growing up, CEO and Founder Carolyn Thurston frequently moved around as a military brat. It was during those many moves that she learned how people from other countries value the seniors in their communities, and she knew that she wanted to support the aging population in any way she could.

“As a U.S. Air Force brat, Carolyn watched how families embraced their seniors. It really struck a chord with her,” explained Charles Thurston, certified operations officer of Wisdom Senior Care. “We want to be able to serve and bless all walks of life. We want them to achieve their goals and help others through franchising as a Wisdom Senior Care business owner.”

With over 25 years of experience in healthcare, business management and marketing, the team at Wisdom Senior Care has developed a proven system and multiple communication and support programs that make franchise ownership rewarding and sustainable. One of those programs, the “family room portal,” is a real-time software that allows families to see when caregivers are at their family member’s house and the tasks they are completing. The brand also has a Wisdom app, which includes valuable information, including key performance indicators, to help franchisees run their businesses. Finally, Wisdom Senior Care owns the Wisdom Health Academy, which provides online training, support and certification courses for caregivers.

In addition to these tools, the brand offers weekly business coaching and has a team that provides even further support.

“On the backend, we have a team who supports franchisees through their financials, site selection, all of their collateral, headshots, you name it,” said Charles, who also shared that the brand makes sure that franchise owners have valid licenses with the state to operate.
