Dylan Sambuceti, director of franchise sales and development for 1Heart Caregiver Services, recently shared how the trusted in-home care agency is helping franchisees succeed in a booming market.

In-home care can be complex. How does 1Heart streamline business management for franchisees?

In-home care is so complex, and families often do not know what they need when they seek caregiving services. In point of fact, my family is currently going through this with my in-laws (unfortunately, they reside in a state without a 1Heart franchise – for now, that is), and I have consulted with our CEO on what my family should be seeking for care. The truly dynamic aspects of 1Heart are the care assessments for prospective clients and the cost-effective caregiving packages we make available. Our franchisees have access to excellent software programs that lessen the burden of the scheduling and implementation of care.

Do prospective franchisees need a specific set of skills to be successful?

Our current franchisees came to us with varied employment and entrepreneurial experience. We value those experiences and find that diversity makes our organization stronger. Prospects need not worry that they do not have caregiving or medical experience, as long as they have the drive to succeed and a deep compassion for the elder community and their families.

1Heart holds itself to high standards and provides reliable, compassionate service to clients. How do those values translate into the franchisee experience?

Our philosophy and the guiding principle in our training programs regarding care is to provide caregiving services as if the client were your family member. This energy extends to the relationship we foster in the franchisee/franchisor alliance. This is not a franchise where you won’t know the first names of the corporate staff. You will get to know us on a familial level because that is the environment we are building. We like to think that compassionate care starts at the top but ultimately creates an infinite loop of care from our franchisees’ caregivers, to the franchisees and back to us at the 1Heart franchisor office.
