The Opportunist

Sometimes in life we experience unexpected circumstances. Wait. Always in life we’ll experience unexpected circumstances. The question is, how do we respond? Are you more of a pessimist, where the glass is half-empty and focus on all the negative stigma? Perhaps you’re an optimist and you see the glass half-full. Or you could be an opportunist like FranServe’s CEO and President, Alesia Visconti, CFC, and drink the water while the other two argue over the glass being half-full or half-empty.

A certified franchise consultant is specifically trained to take on the opportunist mindset similar to Walt Disney, Steve Jobs and Jeff Bezos. FranServe consultant Jana Schwartz, CFC, explains it this way; “Some of today’s most successful businesses were started during unexpected times. Think Apple, Microsoft and Disney, to name a few. Successful entrepreneurs anticipate where business will be in the future, in addition to managing present conditions.”

If you think about it, we’re all opportunists to a degree. Take for instance the insane lines at retail locations during black Friday – they’re opportunists. For me, I stay home for some peace and quiet, so I’m taking advantage of the opportunity while the family is out shopping. I too am an opportunist.

Certified franchise consultants bring out the opportunist in people, helping them achieve the dream of business ownership. There’s opportunity in every situation:

  • Opportunity to do good
  • Opportunity to build
  • Opportunity to lead
  • Opportunity to grow
  • Opportunity to emerge from one’s current cocoon (situation) into a marvelous butterfly (entrepreneur)

It’s always a great idea to have a certified franchise consultant inside your circle of influence to help bring all things into perspective. You’ve heard it said before: make sure you have a good lawyer, hair stylist, accountant and mechanic. There should be one more added to that list, a certified franchise consultant.
