Multi-Unit Franchise Development Opportunities

Tint World® Automotive Styling Centers™, was established in 1982 in Tamarac, Florida, and quickly grew into a local multi-store chain and expanded services over the years to become well-oiled machines. In 2007, Charles Bonfiglio, CEO and president of Tint World automotive styling centers, transformed the concept that was developed over the years into a worldwide Automotive Styling Centers franchise system offering.

By 2019, Bonfiglio felt the brand was fully developed and mature enough to promote faster growth through franchise opportunities to multi-unit franchise developers. While any franchise owner may grow to multiple locations, a multi-unit franchise developer agrees to develop multiple franchise locations in a defined market over a specific period of time.

Bonfiglio reflected on the efficiency of the brand’s systems, which he equated to the Ford assembly line used in the early days of automotive manufacturing. “We began to build our Ford franchise assembly line to support and launch stores quickly. We can typically get franchisees profitable within three to six months of opening their doors,” he said.

For Tint World, almost half of new franchisees are multi-unit developers and have a successful track record of sophisticated and savvy investments. “With these tools and systems in place, and a little luck by our franchise being deemed an essential business during the pandemic, we were able to award over 100 franchise units in only 18 months, and we’re still trending in that direction,” Bonfiglio said. “We’ve also managed to open up nearly 40 stores during that time and increase our average store sales to nearly $900,000 per unit, which is a $131,000 increase in 2021. Nearly 50% of those new franchise owners have become multi-store owners and have successfully leveraged the blueprint that we laid out during our first 10 years of franchising.”

To support the continued growth of the brand, the corporate location hired additional sales development managers, a director of onboarding and a real estate team during the first quarter of 2020. The brand also invested heavily into getting to know various franchise broker network members and significantly increased its franchise development advertising spend.

The Tint World franchise system is built on proven principles that have been successfully implemented by people with various backgrounds and experiences. In fact, having an automotive background is not a requirement to become a franchisee since Tint World has one of the most comprehensive pre-opening training and assistance programs in the industry. Franchisees gain access to a solid business management, sales and production support system. As potential franchisees learn more about the benefits of being a Tint World franchise, they will find that there is no better investment with more opportunity anywhere.

Since its beginning, Tint World has provided high-quality window tinting and vehicle accessories to car enthusiasts. It is America’s favorite stop for auto- and marine-styling accessories as well as residential and commercial window-film services. Tint World is known as the largest and fastest-growing franchise of its kind in the U.S.
