Tint World® Automotive Styling Centers™, a leading auto aftermarket accessory and window tinting business, was recently recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the Best of the Best Franchises in 2024. The list features brands from Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 that are ranked at the top of their industries. Tint World was ranked No. 1 in window tinting.

Founded in 1982 and franchised in 2007, the brand offers dozens of quality aftermarket products and services, such as automotive window tinting, protective films, vehicle wraps, audio electronics, wheels and tires, vehicle styling and more. With more than 150 locations throughout North America, Tint World is growing across the U.S. and internationally and aims to have 300 stores open by 2025.

Grant Paek, franchisee and owner/operator of Tint World Rowlett, Texas, purchased an existing store in October 2023. Paek learned about the benefits and ins and outs of franchising from his father, a seasoned multi-unit franchise developer in a different company. A firm believer in franchising for long-term security, growth and profitability, Paek worked with a franchise consultant and narrowed his search for franchise ownership to Tint World.

“If you want to invest and to secure wealth and minimize risk, franchising makes sense,” he said.

Paek met the Tint World team and Founder and CEO Charles Bonfiglio at the Boca Raton, Florida, headquarters and was impressed by the model and support. The brand provides superior training and emphasizes quality products and customer service.

“I really thought it seemed like a good culture and a good size of a company to start with,” he said.

While Paek loves cars and all things automotive, his passion for entrepreneurship is above all else.

“More important is making a smart decision and being passionate about what it does for you and what it does for your people,” he said.

The extensive menu of Tint World’s services was initially overwhelming to Paek.

“But, it’s actually just one big model that fits together really well,” he said.

Paek’s location provides about 70% of Tint World’s available service offerings. According to Paek, demand is high for window tinting, paint protection film and ceramic coatings, under-vehicle lighting and high-tech audio for cars and trucks. Tint World’s multiple revenue streams include marine, residential and commercial window tinting.

“They don’t limit you,” Paek said. “You can do what the market demands, which is really nice.”

While Tint World has access to hundreds of quality aftermarket and automotive brands, Paek believes its recent collaboration with XPEL Inc., an industry leader in protective films and coatings, was a great decision and lucrative addition to the brand.

Tint World Rowlett serves eight surrounding communities, and Paek holds licenses for three open territories.

“I want to push the model and see how far it can go,” Paek said.

Paek’s plans include expansion into stores in Texas and elsewhere over the next 10 to 20 years.

“I see a lot of growth within the company,” Paek said. “I’m really happy to be part of a team that I believe in.”
