When we think about great meals, it comes down to more than just delicious foods and flavors that satisfy our taste buds. Rather, the best dining experiences – the ones we truly remember – are those that bring us together, celebrate tradition, and allow us to build connections around the table.

At Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe, fresh, high-quality Mediterranean-inspired cuisine might be the star of the menu, but it is the sense of community that defines the rapidly growing family of fast-casual restaurants.

Originally born out of a vision to bring the warmth and vibrancy of seaside eateries in Greece to the U.S., Taziki’s began in Birmingham, Alabama, but has quickly scaled to nearly 100 locations across over 15 states, with the most recent additions to the family of franchises putting down roots in New Orleans.

Now, as the business continues to expand into new territory, the Taziki’s team knows that one of the strongest advantages of operating a Taziki’s franchise – that is, aside from the fresh, high-quality food and value-driven mission – is its advanced tech stack. Taziki’s robust integrated tech system streamlines all the most complicated aspects of running a restaurant – from ordering raw ingredients to planning labor and creating schedules – thus freeing franchisees up to manage their teams and be more hands-on with the customer-facing aspects of the business.

“About half of our franchisees were independent mom-and-pop restaurateurs before starting with us, and they just fell in love with Taziki’s and the community we’ve built around it,” said Alex Garmezy, Taziki’s director of franchise development. “They were just looking for something with more structure so they could do the work without having to reinvent the wheel. Taziki’s lets people who love food, love people, and love community get back to what they really care about, while letting our software do the heavy lifting.”
