A Fourth-generation Story of Purpose

When you talk to Christian Cagle, owner and founder of Speedy Patch Drywall Repair, you can hear passion and pride in his voice for the company and its services.

“My whole thing is to make a difference in people’s lives,” Cagle said. “That means teaching people as well as helping our customers that are in a pickle with drywall. It’s hard to find a reliable, communicative company that responds quickly to customers’ needs and values.”

Cagle learned the drywall trade from his grandfather, who started in the industry in the 1950s. After years of honing the craft while completing repairs for friends and neighbors, Cagle recognized a niche business opportunity. So in 2018, with the help of his son, Evan, he launched Speedy Patch Drywall Repair.

The company’s mission is to provide customized solutions for damaged drywall that minimize customer costs. Cagle also aims to be a home consultant, diagnosing additional structural issues and increasing home values nationwide.

Speedy Patch currently offers a wide-open market and the chance to train with a third-generation artisan to prospective entrepreneurs who want to get in on the $60 billion drywall repair industry.

“It’s an ongoing coaching program that we will offer,” Cagle said, pointing to a combination of hands-on mentorship and virtual instruction that will go way beyond discovery day. “I’m telling our people: ‘Give us a year, and we’ll change your life.’”

Cagle leans on a 20-year journey as a career technology educator outside of his drywall experience. “I can teach anybody who’s never even picked up the drywall knife in their hand, as long as they’re motivated,” Cagle shared.

Once a franchisee learns operations, they’ll have control over their schedule, their customers and the ability to improve people’s lives, including their own. “For the owner, it will change their life by making a difference in their community and adding value to their life financially,” Cagle said.

And with minimal equipment needed – your office is your truck or van – Speedy Patch is easy to launch and scale.

“It’s a great feeling. It’s very purposeful to help other people with their problems. That’s the key to business,” Cagle concluded.
