Runningboards Marketing’s (RBM) newest campaign features a pair of Digital Advertising Vehicles, or DAVs (pronounced “Dave”), gleaming on the tarmac, showing off their cutting-edge capabilities and coolness. When asked about the meaning behind the photo shoot, Calvin McNeely, CEO and co-founder, explained: “Like an airplane getting ready for takeoff, we’re picking up incredible momentum and can’t wait to see where we go next.”

As an emerging brand that picked up its first six franchises during a topsy-turvy 2020 (four of those in Q4 alone), the digital mobile billboard company has taken off big time. And with plans in place to secure 100 franchisees by 2023, McNeely only expects this momentum to accelerate.

“You know, I think we really have something special here,” he said. “It’s a new, first-of-its-kind concept. Nobody else has done anything like this. Others will follow, but we’ll set the pace. We’ll be the leader.”

DAV, described as a “dude” with a larger-than-life personality, is a vehicle that utilizes three high-resolution LED screens that operate independently and can do anything that a TV, computer, or gaming system can do. DAV drives through targeted markets with customized client messaging. Audiences can see everything on DAV’s screens – from local advertisements to personalized announcements and live-streamed events.

RBM’s attractiveness lies in its simple, turnkey model. It’s a mobile business that requires offers low upfront costs, a quick startup, and requires few employees. Three revenue streams and multiple opportunities to expand add versatility to ownership.

DAV utilizes proprietary software that allows franchisees to manage the business from anywhere. RBM’s ever-evolving, user-friendly technology lets owners update DAV’s display, schedule out graphics and track ads – all functions other companies must accomplish manually.

However, what distinguishes RBM most is its community-minded climate. “Our team, our culture gives the business lift,” McNeely added. “We just have this fun, get-it-done, smart, talented team with a heart to give – to make a difference in people’s lives.”
