Pilates Addiction is more than just a fitness studio – it’s a movement, a mindset and a lifestyle. That’s how Sequel Brands describes its newest endeavor: a business model designed to support long-term financial stability through recurring membership-based revenue and capitalize on one of the nation’s growing fitness trends.
“There are a ton of boutique fitness experiences out there, but Pilates Addiction has several critical components that help it stand out from the rest,” said Jeffrey Bien, vice president of franchise development at Sequel Brands.
Sequel Brands is a next-generation fitness franchisor that focuses on innovative, science-backed fitness and wellness concepts – such as iFlex Stretch Studios, Beem Light Sauna and BODY20 – each offering unique approaches to movement, recovery and overall well-being.
“The brand stays true to Joseph Pilates’ methodology but provides a more intense workout than other studios,” Bien continued. “We have proprietary equipment and make use of music and a high-end modern aesthetic to differentiate ourselves in the marketplace.”
Those distinctions have already helped the brand grow rapidly, and Sequel Brands plans on developing aggressively across the U.S. over the next two to three years.
“We have a wonderful manager/executive model that allows business owners to hire a manager and then build to scale,” Bien said. “Most of our franchisees are buying multiple units, getting their first site up and running and then allowing the manager to open up the second and third.”
According to Bien, the Pilates workout itself has an expanding audience, appealing across all age groups and skill levels. It has even been projected by Pradeep Nandi of Market Research Future to grow by billions before 2028.
“The Pilates Addiction business model is designed to support long-term financial stability through recurring membership revenue,” the company stated in the franchising section of its website.
Sequel Brands also reported that Pilates Addiction offers a lower barrier to entry with a streamlined launch for ongoing support.
The fully developed, end-to-end system allows franchisees to open their studio with clarity and support at every stage. From site selection and studio build-out to training, marketing and daily operations, the comprehensive model ensures new owners are equipped with everything needed to operate successfully from day one.
