If you were to ask Lauren Leflere why she and her husband, Marc, started their Naturals2Go business in Sarasota, Florida, she would tell you it happened by default. With her background in quantum and integrative medicine and Marc’s in exercise physiology, the husband-and-wife duo had originally been working on launching their own business when the pandemic hit.
“We got our brains together, started the BodyHZ company and were getting it going when COVID happened, and we had to shut down our office,” Lauren said.
Lauren and Marc were able to shift their bioelectric medical-patch business to a fully online model, but they also found themselves looking for a more recession-proof business. After exploring several franchise options, Naturals2Go, with a focus on healthy vending machine products, felt like the right fit – and the couple has been loving it ever since.
“We’re lucky that we’re really good partners,” Lauren said. “We each have amazing strengths, and we allow each other to take the lead individually. He’s my hero and does 99% of the vending business so I can take care of our four kids.” She said her husband is most definitely the numbers guy. Lauren, on the other hand, is better with the creative side of things. She manages the phone calls, marketing, Amazon accounts and their website. Since starting their business in April 2021, the Lefleres have scaled from 24 to 32 vending machines and look forward to having 50 machines by the holidays.
Listening to Lauren talk about how she and her husband work naturally together, it’s clear how passionate she is about the life they’ve built. The two have a kind of symbiosis in not just how they run their business but how they collaborate on everything – and it even seems to have trickled down to their children who love being involved in the business. “I bring them over there, and they’ll help load bins, or they’ll restock and things like that. So they’re really part of it too,” she said.
So, yes, if you were to ask Lauren Leflere why her family got involved with Naturals2Go, she might tell you it happened by default. But she would probably add that she wouldn’t have it any other way.
