Since its founding in Sydney, Australia, more than 20 years ago, MindChamps has become a global force in early childhood education, enrichment and childcare. MindChamps offers programs based on its research-based, revolutionary 3-Mind model of education: The Learning Mind promotes academic excellence; the Creative Mind frees the imagination; and the Champion Mind instills perseverance and excellence. MindChamps nurtures every child to face an ever-changing, unpredictable technology-driven world with 100% respect and zero fear.
“MindChamps began in Sydney in 1998 as a research center to create an education system that could provide education in a way that children in the 21st century needed,” explained MindChamps Founder and CEO David Chiem. “It was about how to learn, not what to learn, and teaching children to be critical thinkers.
Having taken the Number One market share in Singapore for premium preschools and expanded into Australia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Myanmar and Indonesia, MindChamps will soon have franchise opportunities available in the U.S.
MindChamps makes a difference in the lives of children by providing the best in early childhood curriculum and care. By synthesizing and distilling more than two decades of research in cutting-edge enrichment programs, the MindChamps Global Research Advisory and Education Team developed a preschool curriculum that rapidly propelled the MindChamps model to its current industry-leading position. This team is chaired by world-renowned neuroscientist Emeritus Professor Allan Snyder, a Fellow of the Royal Society and Marconi Prize winner.
Chiem detailed the award-winning programs the brand offers to children. “MindChamps currently provides care services for infants 2 months to 18 months old, early learning and preschool services for children aged 2 to 6 years, enrichment programs for children aged 7 to 12 years, arts and theater programs for children aged 5 to 19 years, and, since January 2022, afterschool care in Singapore,” he said.
The brand’s commitment to its students also extends to its franchise owners. MindChamps places tremendous importance on ensuring that each franchisee has an in-depth knowledge of the educational systems and inner workings of the business.
“There is an onboarding process which begins with the partner receiving an operations manual, including clear guidelines on operating a MindChamps center that adheres to MindChamps’ ChampionGold Standard. The partner will also go through a leadership training course conducted by MindChamps. All teachers will also undergo up to 200 hours of training and accreditation in the MindChamps Way, regardless of their previous experience or qualifications in the early childhood education space,” said Chiem.
MindChamps delivers an unprecedented model of education that has been proven to increase a child’s success in all aspects of learning. “One of our students, Sophie, came to Singapore from Russia as a young child and joined MindChamps PreSchool not knowing how to speak a word of English. Now, she is fluent in both English and Chinese and is one of the highest academic achievers in primary school. Another student, Tyler, improved by four grade levels in primary school in just one year of studying at the MindChamps Enrichment Academy,” said Chiem.
Depending on location availability, a franchisee can expect to be up and running within six months to a year. This includes the site location, the time needed for any licensing and approval, possible renovations, and teacher and staff recruitment. MindChamps centers also can be opened in a variety of locations, including malls, storefronts, new buildings or as a greenfield or brownfield investment.
