Maple Bear Global Schools is widely known as a Canadian education system that offers bilingual educational services to students around the world. Its global reach has expanded to 35 countries and more than 500 schools. Most recently, Maple Bear opened its first school in Angola to help expand the country’s English language and help bridge the gap in international education standards across the country.
Maple Bear is poised for continued global growth while setting its sight on opening 200 schools across the U.S. over the next five years, with a specific focus on Texas, Florida and Arizona, where three locations recently were sold. As it relates to the U.S. expansion: “We currently have a presence in almost every continent, and we have the know-how. We’re ready to go,” shared Janel Villegas, implementation manager. “Maple Bear is the world’s fastest growing education brand; even during COVID-19 we went from 20 countries to 30 countries and added 60 new franchises to our network,” Villegas recalled.
Maple Bear has proven that early childhood education is resistant to a worldwide pandemic by fostering an environment of continued growth, and its global focus on community and connectivity remains a high priority. The education brand recently piloted its sustainability program, Global Connections for Sustainability Program. The Global Connections for Sustainability program connected some of Maple Bear’s U.N. initiatives to schools around the world, allowing students from different countries to collaborate on projects and create lasting bonds through the Maple Bear educational system.
Maple Bear educates more than 50,000 students in early childhood, elementary school and high school worldwide. “These are exciting times here at Maple Bear,” shared Villegas. “With our world-renowned education, low franchise fee, strong support and wide-open U.S. territories, we are equipped to build upon Maple Bear’s belief that education is a global perspective.”
