The demand for quality education around the world has never been higher, and Maple Bear Global Schools is meeting that demand as a worldwide leader in early childhood education. A proven brand with more than 500 schools in 30 countries around the globe, Maple Bear leverages its Canadian teaching program, which is built on bilingual immersion learning, to provide high-quality and affordable early learning centers for infants, toddlers and children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. Maple Bear’s renowned program uses a structured, student-focused curriculum that is implemented in a safe, secure and stimulating environment, and franchise opportunities are now available in the U.S.

Recently, Maple Bear created the Maple Bear Global Connections for Sustainability Program (GCP). This new, innovative curriculum fords a connection between multicultural peace and understanding with the work of the United Nations. According to the Maple Bear corporate team, through the GCP, the brand “seeks to connect students virtually around the world and facilitate exploration, discussion and collaboration centered around the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).”

What is even more fascinating about this new curriculum is how it works. Students use a digital platform that integrates the latest online learning methodologies, which means that they have the opportunity to travel the world without ever leaving the classroom. The GCP nurtures students’ collective, investigative, social justice and activism skills, empowering them to affect change in their communities and beyond.

Brad Burns, director of program and innovation, highlighted the key purpose of the program, which fosters lifelong inquiry and analytical skills about relevant topics, and inspires a culturally diverse approach to teamwork and problem solving. “The United Nations Sustainability Goals give our Global Connections Program a focus that matters deeply to students, teachers and the broader community,” he said.

Maple Bear is setting a new standard for what it means to be citizens of the world, and its program is receiving outstanding reviews by all stakeholders. One parent shared how the GCP impacted their child: “It was a great project, in particular, during this pandemic period. My child learned a lot about water. He enjoyed drawing pictures and collecting information for this project. I really appreciate the entire team of the Maple Bear Sustainability Pilot Project because they gave great guidance on it and the interaction with Brazilian students was amazing.”

If you have a passion for working with children to create an inclusive, safe environment and a desire to build a meaningful legacy in your community, Maple Bear USA may be the perfect opportunity.
