As the newest co-owner of the Jabz Boxing studio in Voorhees, New Jersey, Neena Ciallella spends her days doing what she loves most – training her clients in a boutique fitness studio she owns with her mother, Chrissy Ciallella. Jabz Boxing offers a science-backed workout that incorporates elements of boxing, agility, plyometrics, and more, into a fast-paced circuit, and Neena loves leading a team that encourages clients to “come as you are, leave stronger.”

After working in retail for several years, Neena became a certified personal trainer and onboarded with Jabz Boxing as a coach, training clients at the studio. Soon after, Neena was approached by the Jabz owners to let her know they were looking for someone to take over the studio; they thought she was the perfect fit as a top trainer who loved her work. Chrissy attended meetings with her daughter and helped her perform the necessary due diligence before investing in the brand. The process took about eight months from start to finish, and Neena is happy she made the move from employee to franchise owner with her mother’s support.

Neena is the lead coach at her location and teaches most classes while managing a staff of five trainers. She is the face of the business and handles business operations as well. Although she loves coaching her clients most of all, she also enjoys all aspects of running her business. Chrissy is a silent partner but helps with administrative tasks and determines which areas of the business might need more attention.

According to Neena, her experience as a Jabz Boxing franchisee has been advantageous. “It’s rewarding for sure. It’s a lot of hard work. But it’s definitely been worth it every step of the way,” Neena said. Additionally, the corporate support from Jabz Boxing has made business ownership a lot easier. She can count on the support staff at Jabz Boxing to lay everything out for her, so she can follow the system and focus on building her brand.
