PFLC’s 2025 Milestones and What’s Next
The International Franchise Association’s Pride Franchise Leadership Council (PFLC) continues to make meaningful strides in 2025. Dedicated to advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion in franchising, the Council has grown into a visible, respected force for progress in the industry.
This year, the PFLC expanded its educational footprint, hosting thoughtful webinars like “Leading with Allyship During Pride Month.” These events provided franchise professionals with practical tools for celebrating Pride in a way that’s authentic – not performative. Brand leaders and allies shared strategies for fostering inclusive environments, both internally and in customer-facing messaging.
Internally, the Council made structural gains as well. With the launch of an official LinkedIn page, the unveiling of a new logo, and the formation of three dedicated subcommittees, the PFLC has strengthened its foundation and extended its reach. These moves have made it easier for members and allies to get involved and stay informed.
Another major step forward: open dialogue with the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce. The Council is exploring potential partnerships that would amplify opportunities for LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs in franchising – a move that could have real, long-term impact.
Looking ahead, the PFLC plans to build out its digital presence with more storytelling and resources. By highlighting real experiences from LGBTQ+ franchisees and allies, the Council hopes to inspire the next generation of leaders and make franchising more inclusive from the ground up.
Through collaboration, visibility, and education, the PFLC is not just moving the needle – it’s reshaping the conversation. And that’s something worth celebrating.
