Designed to Fit In to School-Year Schedules

The creators of iCode have designed a new program, iCode Anytime, that can complement even the busiest school year schedules. The program launched in mid-September as a self-paced, instructor-assisted program framed around game development. iCode Anytime provides parents with the ultimate flexibility to offer scheduling solutions for their kids. Parents can choose to enroll their children for up to two hours a day, Monday through Friday.

iCode was launched by founder and CEO Abid Abedi in 2015, as a solution to advance the inadequate computer-technology courses taught in most schools. The company’s proprietary curriculum is based on STEAM education, focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Kids enjoy learning in an interactive, hands-on, collaborative environment at iCode’s fully equipped hi-tech locations. The focus is on soft and hard skills, to enhance core academic strengths, such as patterns and sequencing and critical thinking, and to develop lifelong skills such as project ideation and development, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

The iCode curriculum falls into four program categories. The signature Belts Program offers progressive computer-science education. It covers nine school years of STEAM education by teaching coding, robotics, and programming while also teaching seven computer science languages, including Scratch, HTML, CSS, Alice, Python, Java, and C++. The Paths Program offers a four-week deep dive into specific computer science topics such as digital arts, web development, game development, Minecraft, Python, Roblox, and YouTube Production. The Anytime Program is self-paced and framed around learning computer science through game development. Students can participate up to two hours a day, five days a week. Lastly, summer camps are offered all week long and are fun, interactive, and educational.

Once a franchisee joins iCode, they get to work on getting them started on the road to great success. Franchisees do not need a background in coding to be successful, but any business-management skills would be beneficial. Soon after signing on with iCode, an iCode website is launched, and social-media channels are pre-populated with content and posts. Next, a franchisee will typically start the real-estate search process, followed by design and buildout. iCode uses a “right time” training approach to provide training in different business areas, depending on the season of when they open.

The technology industry is exploding and iCode is solidly positioned with its unique business model, market-leading proprietary curriculum, hi-tech locations and multiple revenue streams.
