Every day, HomeVestors® of America, Inc. franchisees across the country meet with homeowners who may be facing situations such as job changes, divorce, inherited properties, foreclosure or simply the burden of a property they can no longer manage.
HomeVestors, the real estate franchise system, famously known as the We Buy Ugly Houses® people, buys and renovates properties. Primarily those in need of repair, or those that sellers want to sell quickly to avoid the time and hassle of a traditional sale. Because the business model focuses on transformation, not just transaction, franchisees who thrive in the system must understand that at their core.
“We’re not looking for real estate experts. In fact, some of our most successful franchisees came in with no real estate experience at all,” said April Nealey, senior manager of franchise development. “What they brought instead was far more important: a heart for helping people, a drive to improve their communities, creative and solution-oriented thinking and the grit to follow through even when it’s hard.”
The brand is currently seeking compassionate entrepreneurs who are interested in helping people and those who see opportunity where others see obstacles. Additionally, Nealey proudly noted that HomeVestors’ services are always needed.
“While other industries may be vulnerable to economic swings, our model is uniquely resilient,” she explained. “People’s need for help doesn’t disappear during inflation or downturns. The housing market may shift, but the need for our services remains.
Fortunately for new franchisees, a lack of previous real estate experience does not stand in the way of success.
“We don’t expect new franchisees to know it all,” said Nealey. “That’s why every new HomeVestors franchisee begins with an intensive, in-person, week-long training at our headquarters in Dallas. You’ll learn the systems, tools and strategies that have helped franchisees succeed across the country. We don’t just teach you how to buy houses – we teach you how to make a lasting impact.”
For self-starters who enjoy solving problems and building relationships, HomeVestors might be the right fit.
