Below are some interview excerpts.

Currie: First things first, tell us about Paymore and what your store locations have to offer?

Helgesen: Paymore stores are a safe and local place to buy, sell and trade today’s hottest electronics and yesterday’s favorites. So, we’re buying the newer iPhone and go as far back as the older Nintendo consoles and games and just about everything in between, including tablets, laptops, to all your devices. Paymore stores are offering our customers a centralized place to deal with all things technology while putting a big focus on keeping them data safe by professionally wiping the devices. The data protection guidelines we follow are a big focus of our core service offerings. Our model incentivizes consumers to go green by offering them incredible trade-in prices for broken devices while keeping these devices out of landfills and repurposing them for a second life. That second life of a device equates for a great deal for the next consumer. We also provide the ability to trade that same technology in for additional bonus value in Paymore store credit. Customers can use credits to shop for already discounted electronics with warranties in store or online.

Currie: So you have brick and mortar locations, as well as an e-commerce approach.

Helgesen: That’s correct. We have four locations operating and we also have a centralized e-commerce store.

Currie: What made you decide to franchise Paymore?

Helgesen: We opened our first store in Long Island, which is a more suburban area. We did fantastically well. We opened our second store in New York City, and it did equally as well in relative sales to square footage of our store. We knew we had something at that point in time and we had two different types of demographics, the suburban and the city store. We knew that it really should be in every city and town out there. To achieve full, critical mass and scale nationwide and in every town and city was to franchise Paymore.
