Deer Solution offers franchisees the unique opportunity to partner with the only brand on the market that exclusively provides deer damage control. Deer Solution implements a custom-tailored plan for each customer that protects expensive landscaping while remaining family, pet and environmentally friendly.
Deer populations in recent years have exploded, with the population in North America reaching well over 30 million, according to a Wildlife Society Bulletin. Jaime Goodrich, brand manager and co-founder of Deer Solution, explained how the growing number of deer has increased demand for the brand’s services. “We are the only company that exclusively services deer protection. We advertise within our core area of New Jersey but have received calls from across the country as far as California. We were servicing calls from five different states before we realized that we would need additional locations to meet all of those needs on a timely basis. That was the inspiration for franchising our service; we saw that the need for a reliable repellent service was in high demand,” she said.
When Jaime and her husband, Kris, began franchising their home-based brand, they developed the Solution Center to ensure franchisees could focus on growing the business and not be weighed down by time-intensive tasks, like scheduling and customer service.
“While our Solution Center takes all of our calls, it is much more than just a call center,” Jaime said. “Our Solution Center takes down customer information and schedules an estimate directly to the calendar of the franchisee. Then, the Solution Center follows up on all prospective customers for the franchisee, and if a sale is made, it also schedules the application appointment. A franchisee is able to focus on performing services and networking within the community.”
For those who may be hesitant about moving forward with the emerging brand, Deer Solution encourages anyone interested in the concept to learn more about the impact that deer have on communities across the nation and explore the franchise opportunity available. “Talk to your local garden centers and ask them about deer damage. If you are unsure, that is a great first step. We are also happy to educate people about the business; it is a great low-cost, low-inventory business with total flexibility,” Jaime said.
