BODY20 isn’t any ordinary strength and cardio training. The technology used in the brand’s signature workouts can reduce what would be hours of weight training into an intense workout that averages around 20 minutes. The innovative concept utilizes an FDA-cleared electro-muscle stimulation suit and one-on-one training sessions to help pinpoint clients’ goals and maximize results.

For decades, Europe has been using EMS technology for fitness, but the United States only received clearance to use the technology for this purpose in 2017. BODY20 has positioned itself to be a disruptor in the fitness industry, revolutionizing the way Americans think about working out.

“The feeling I had after that first 12-minute workout was equivalent to the feeling I would have doing 90 minutes of weight training,” said Chief Development Officer Bob McQuillan. “I was completely worn out. You cannot describe the feeling of this workout. You just have to try it!”

Currently, BODY20 has 21 active franchises and is looking to expand to 100 locations in 2023. A leader in the niche personal training market, the company is constantly evolving to stay at the forefront of fitness.

“We are forecasting the openings of approximately 80 studios this year,” said McQuillan. “Our technology is changing daily, and we expect to be utilizing Bluetooth technology in the very near future.” The integration of Bluetooth will allow clients to work out untethered to the EMS machine and expand the range and possibilities of their customized workout.

With low staffing requirements, small space requirements, monthly recurring subscription revenue and flexible financing options, the BODY20 franchise model is built to maximize profit and minimize startup costs. The company is looking for driven entrepreneurs who are forward-thinking and passionate about innovation.

Even with new and exciting technology driving the brand’s growth, the core of BODY20’s success is creating strong relationships with its franchisees. “My work with BODY20 is all about the relationships I’ve been privileged to build,” said McQuillan. “In franchise development, awarding the top prospective franchisees is paramount, and I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredible people and watch them write their own success stories. It’s the reason why it’s easy for me to go to work every day!”
