Selecting and effectively supporting franchisees are top priorities for the Balloon Kings® team. With over a decade of success in the balloon industry, the company has optimized its business model, training and resources in order to provide franchisees with the tools they need to build their own kingdom while continuously surpassing customer expectations.
Balloon Kings offers products, designs and décor for all types of celebrations, including birthdays, weddings and business conferences. The company’s ideal franchisee is a natural salesperson at heart.
“In addition to demonstrating a track record of business success and financial qualifications, our ideal candidate is not someone who waits for the phone to ring,” said Founder Gene Nifenecker (aka King Gene). “He or she must have top relationship-building skills as well as experience with lead generation tools.”
By combining individual sales and business acumen with comprehensive training, franchisees continue to succeed in building and expanding the brand’s footprint. The Balloon Kings training program is completed in two weeks and covers topics ranging from balloon design and construction to marketing, sales, delivery services, management, operations and inventory administration.
“An outside salesperson and owner-operator with a strong aptitude for networking are key characteristics of an ideal franchisee,” said Nifenecker. “Understanding how to get into schools, hotel concierge associations, country clubs, golf courses and yacht club event venues is very important in this business.”
Establishing strong relationships with party and event coordinators, in addition to regular customers, drives franchisees to succeed. “The person who comes for one balloon may sometimes need a thousand balloons,” explained Nifenecker. “Satisfied customers not only result in repeat business but also referrals, and the most cost-effective promotional strategy is word of mouth.”
The Balloon Kings team makes the franchise application process very easy for interested candidates. The company is committed to working closely with its franchisees every step of the way, so they can build their own balloon kingdoms.
