For over six years, PetNmind has provided high-quality service to thousands of pets and their humans. The trusted pet-food and supplies franchise has earned hundreds of five-star reviews, a testament to its business model and the community it has fostered.

Adrian Archie, founder and CEO of PetNmind, explained why his small-format business is ideal for customers and franchisees.

You have said, “Pets don’t speak human – let us translate for you!” How does PetNmind bridge that gap for customers and their pets?

Whether you’re coming into the store for the first time or you’re a customer who has been with us for six years, you’re coming in with questions. Unlike a box store, where someone may point you in the right direction, we spend time with our customers. We ask a general battery of questions to dig deeper about the pet. With this information, we are able to empower the customer to make the best decisions for their pet from a nutrition perspective, and a quality one at that.

Why is PetNmind an ideal franchise for those who are new to franchising and veteran entrepreneurs?

The pet industry is a healthy, always-growing industry. Even in bad times, it does better because of what pets mean to humans and the emotional support they offer. During the pandemic, we have not had to close, because we have nutrition in the store. Also, we are a full-line business in a small, successful package at, tops, 2,000 square feet. Franchisees don’t have a huge payroll or staffing issues. As an involved owner who can be semi-absentee, all you need is a quality manager and two or three part-time employees passionate about pets. Franchisees can also expect a great revenue from the service portion, which is not attached to the cost of goods, and benefit from the nutrition piece.

Is prior experience in the pet industry required?

No, you do not need to come from an animal background, but we do look for people who have a passion for animals and helping people. We’ll give you the template that is repeatable and has been successful.

What else do you want people to know about your brand and franchise?

We are truly emerging, and our concept has been validated by investors in the industry as unique. You will acquire and invest in a business that is easily scalable. This is a business your kids will want to run and will impact your community for generations.
