Typically, franchisees begin with a territory that can support multiple mobile showrooms, which provides the opportunity to continually scale their business. Currently, approximately 360 mobile showrooms are operating in over 40 states.
In an online tour of the typical showroom vehicle, Jennie Hong, franchise owner of Floor Coverings International Northeast Atlanta, demonstrated the impressive organization of more than 3,000 product samples. “Our team loves the mobile showroom because it is reliable, neatly organized and very economical to drive,” she said.

This is how we separate ourselves from the other shop-at-home competitors who have a very small product offering,” said O’Rourke.
Some samples are stored in tri-fold cases that make it easy to carry and display for customers who have particular needs and preferences. A unique and helpful franchise model, Floor Coverings International’s mobile showroom expedites the selection process, allowing customers to feel the textures of flooring available and compare colors in specific living areas.
“Our customers see samples in the lighting of their home with their décor and the furniture so they can make their informed decision,” explained Hong. “Replacing floors is an investment, and we want to make sure they are making the right decision.”
