Since being founded in 2015, iCode has shown explosive growth and is expected to have 100 or more franchises by the end of the year. Currently, the computer-science education franchise is enrolling for summer camps, which make up approximately 40% of its annual revenue and act as a slingshot into fall enrollments that typically range from 200 to 400 families per location. As a turnkey operation, iCode provides franchisees with comprehensive support through every step of franchising. Chief Operating Officer Mike Meyers explained more in a recent interview.

How is iCode unique in its industry? 

iCode offers STEAM-based computer science education to kids K-12 through our signature Belts program at our high-tech, fully-equipped campuses. Our online and onsite Paths program provides deep-dive courses, and our Anytime program, which focuses on game development and design, is ideal for parents who need an afterschool venue for their children. Also, iCode offers weeklong onsite and online summer camps for kids of all ages, which focus on today’s most popular categories.

Using a specialized teaching methodology, iCode instructors help students develop transferable soft skills, including critical thinking, problem-solving, and project-based learning in a hands-on, interactive environment.

Can you explain the multiple revenue streams available?

Unlike other brick-and-mortar companies in our space, iCode is the only venue that has four to five classrooms in each location. As a result, our franchisees can ramp up their business quicker by taking advantage of 19 revenue streams through our program offerings, five of which can be hosted concurrently. In addition, our partnerships with local schools provide significant opportunities for additional revenue generation.

Why is now a great time to become an iCode franchisee? 

The technology industry is booming and is expected to remain one of the fastest-growing industries. Schools are not prepared to provide a meaningful education in computer science to kids, especially at the elementary and middle-school levels, which is our core customer. The World Economic Forum stated that 65% of jobs in technology expected to be available in 2030 have not yet been created. The time couldn’t be more appropriate to invest in an iCode franchise to help fill the gap in communities throughout the country.
