What began as a quest of the American dream for Idan Shpizear, co-founder of 911 Restoration, grew into an award-winning restoration company that puts the customer before everything else. For over 10 years, the nationally-trusted brand has been helping property owners gain a “Fresh Start” by restoring their homes and businesses damaged by water, fire, and sewage.
Shpizear explained the distinguishing factor that has continuously put 911 Restoration ahead of its competitors. “Anyone can extract water or cut drywall, but it’s about the customer experience that sets us apart. To us, it isn’t just a home for us to dry – it’s a home that needs a “Fresh Start,” because the birthday party is next month, or family members are coming from out of town soon. We understand the bigger picture,” he said.
911 Restoration’s attention to customer service and satisfaction has been especially apparent throughout the pandemic. Entrusted with protecting property owners’ health and safety, 911 Restoration offers customers peace of mind by following CDC and EPA protocols. As teams remove mold, treat fire damage or sanitize and disinfect surfaces, they fight germs, bacteria, and other harmful pathogens with approved methods.
The brand goes the extra mile for franchisees too. After spending years developing and refining the brand concept, Shpizear makes sure that prospective franchisees can access the $210 billion industry without breaking the bank. The affordable option operates on a partnership model with no monthly fees except royalties, and 911 Restoration provides extensive tools and support for free, including training, marketing services, and 24-hour dispatch and customer service. During training, franchisees can expect small classes customized to individual markets and specific concerns.
Considering the high level of support it offers for a low investment, it is not surprising that the brand continues to add units to its lineup. In just the first quarter of 2022, eight new franchises have opened their doors. Also, building on its already prominent status as a leading restoration company in both the U.S. and Canada, 911 Restoration has goals to expand further into many hot markets, including Toronto; Vancouver; Fort Worth, Texas; Connecticut; Rhode Island; New York, and New Jersey.
More franchises mean more opportunities for successful community outreach programs as well. Always looking for a way to offer a fresh start to those in need, 911 Restoration franchisees have distributed groceries to those experiencing homelessness, donated to the Ronald McDonald House, and even sponsored organizations like Take on Sports, a sports program for athletes with special needs.
Of all the growth and success that the brand has accomplished, Shpizear is especially proud of the relationships 911 Restoration has formed with hundreds of communities across North America, including Los Angeles, where the business began. “We give back during the holidays, This year, we donated 1,000 meals. I’m a volunteer speaker for the Youth Business Alliance YBA, speaking in schools in East L.A., and 911 Restoration has its own foundation, the Be the Fresh Start Foundation, created to raise funds for causes that are important to us,” said Shpizear.
