If you’ve ever moved, you know how stressful and laborious the process can be – packing and tracking everything you own, all while trying to prevent damage and loss. That’s why Dylan Cook and Steven Roscioli decided to streamline the process.
“We’ve set the standard for professional, trustworthy, and affordable moving services,” said Cook, who, together with Roscioli, built the Philadelphia-headquartered Moving U & Junk U from the ground up. “Our company prides itself on making sure all of our clients’ property is safe and protected. We handle everything from the heavy lifting and storage to junk removal, all while ensuring that your belongings are kept in the same condition in which we found them.”
Specializing in residential and corporate relocations, the company organizes every aspect of a client’s move, even packing and wrapping belongings when necessary to ensure that there are no dings, scrapes or scratches. Short-term storage options are also offered, and the company’s junk-removal service can haul old furniture, pick up appliances, and dispose of any unneeded furniture, old TVs or basement messes. Junk is then donated, recycled or responsibly disposed.
Founded when Cook and Roscioli were still in college, the original West Chester, Pennsylvania, branch has been serving the Philadelphia area for over three years. The owners decided to franchise their concept in early 2021.
“A few of the great aspects of the moving-and-junk removal industry is that the initial startup costs are relatively affordable compared to other franchises, and growth can happen both rapidly and smoothly at the same time,” Cook said. “In addition, Moving U & Junk U was designed to be a self-supporting operation, which is a great benefit for any franchisee.”
Created to support franchisees that are looking to grow quickly and be a dominant force in their local market, Cook said the Moving U & Junk U concept works well for individuals who are competitive and appreciate the hustle that comes with achieving personal goals.
“If you’re looking to really be a dominant player in your local market, you should reach out and give us a call,” Cook said. “You don’t need experience in the logistics of moving – you just need to be excited and enthusiastic about starting a new venture.”
